how do you spend your time?

Spend your time wisely

I write FaceBook posts on my Conscious Mastery page.  I put myself in it or should I say I allow what is in me to come out. I value my time and do not spend much of it on FB at any given login because I have many other interests and things to do.  However, when I get an impulse to share I share from my heart in the hope it will meaningfully touch the heart of another with inspiration and love.

I read other peoples posts too. I came across one the other day that asked, ” Do you put thought into your FB posts.” I thought it was a good question and I could honestly say to myself, ” Yes I do.”

I see many wonderful posts on the pages that I have liked from my Conscious Mastery page. Sometimes I see posts that really tickle my funny bone and some that reflect the writers personal and unique perspectives of life and spiritual growth. Often I see the same quotes, common threads of thought coming up over and over. Some have a different picture or a slight variation but the essence of it is the same. We, the people learn through repetition so I take the repetitive posts in stride. The more we repeat a skill or ponder a thought the more we become it. Whatever thoughts and ideas we put out into cyber space or take in has an effect on us and others. Our thoughts have power, the spoken word has power, the thoughts and feelings we share in life and on the web have power too. It is wise to consider what we put out and take in from cyberspace. It is also wise to deepen the understanding of the wise and meaningful quotes and thoughts we read and share so we can make a real difference in our lives.

Time for Transformation:

The real purpose of sharing and taking in growth promoting information is to use it. Practical application of wise words on a daily basis is what will shift the vibrational message we send out into the world faster than simply reading them. When the vibrational message we send out into the world changes so does our life. The only downside of seeing the same quotes show up over and over again is if the message and meaning of the words are lost to the reader or the writer because it has not penetrated the heart and mind. It has been said before, there is a lot of information but very little transformation. I, for one, would like to see that change. Like anything else, it begins one person at a time. Let’s begin.

What does your Facebook page say about you?

Today, look over your own posts. Scan the time line looking at a few posts from each month, the things you wrote about, the things you shared, the things you supported and if you can, recall the comments you may have left.  What you will see is a reflection of your thoughts, your interests, a snap shot of what you placed your attention on. Reflect, review, explore. What has been the nature of what you have taken in and sent out into the world? Does it accurately reflect you? By that I mean, do you practice what you share? or Is it a hopeful reflection of how you see yourself becoming? Do you use it to share pictures with your family to strengthen the bond? Do you share your anger, outrage and hatred when you see tragic things posted. Do you use it to distract yourself from living your life in earnest? Do you use it to bolster your ego striving to gain large numbers of ” friends” or ” likes”? What do you see and what is your intention?

WE are contributing to the healing of the world or the continued disease of the world.

What you put out into the world matters whether it is in cyberspace or in your home. I hope you begin to let that deepen within you. What you say, what you think, how you feel and what you do matters to the Whole of life. Writing or reading inspiring uplifting posts will have little impact in your life if that is all you are doing. Granted, it is a good start but one can not remain on the starting line for long. It is time to put into practice what you know in your heart is the next right thing to do.

One step at a time takes you somewhere. Where are you going?

Spiritual superiority is Dangerous

Surrounding oneself with sleeping souls while regurgitating wise words from a place of spiritual superiority does little for ones growth and is, in fact, counter-productive. To falsely represent ourselves is dangerous to all we come in contact with and is especially debilitating to our own personal growth. Life on planet earth, everyday ordinary life must reflect those wise words because sooner or later the sleeping ones wake up. Imagine their disappointment when they see only empty words. Imagine if that betrayal turned them off. How tragic would that be? We need to be turned on and not only remain turned on but increase our light by what we say, think, feel and do.  Self-honesty does not include berating yourself if you discover you are not as shiny and perfect as you pretend to be or your outer persona may appear. It simply means it is time to practice more. It is a sign that the time has come to love yourself enough to become the love that you are and have always been, no pretending, no hiding behind a computer or in a myriad of distraction from work, substance abuse, drama or Television. No grandiosity and no minimizing. Shine your light, as much light as you have reclaimed thus far and let it grow. Self honesty will help us get real so we can begin living a real good, amazingly wonderful life.

We are interesting creatures and perhaps complicated. Yet when we come to the core of our being we are intrinsically simple, pure, and All That Is, at one with our God/Goddess Self.

I would like to conclude with:

Words from Amma~ the Hugging Saint:

(I was blessed to receive her hug in the late 90’s in Santa Fe. New Mexico. She is love. )

“Children, meditation is not just sitting with our eyes closed. We should take every action as worship. We should be able to experience His presence everywhere.”

“We are not isolated islands. Our lives are interconnected like the links of a chain. Whether we are aware of it or not, our every action has an effect on others.”

“Love is our true essence. Love has no limitations of caste, religion, race, or nationality. We are all beads strung together on the same thread of love. To awaken this unity–and to spread to others the love that is our inherent nature–is the true goal of human life.”

“Let us strive to reach a state in which we are able to see all beings on earth as a part of our own Self.”

” There is a child within  everyone. The desire to search for this child is felt by all living beings. This  childlike innocence deep within you is God.”

Feel and listen to your inner-child, your sweet loving God-Self and know all is well.
